The “ Original Keepsake Feather Pillow ” was designed with you in mind. Everyone’s preference for nighttime comfort is different. We offer a variety of sizes and firmness, from standard to king and from medium firmness to full firmness.

We also offer your choice of two covers for your custom made feather pillow - the white on white stripe or the traditional blue stripe (shown above). In addition to the " Original Keepsake Feather Pillow ", we also carry travel pillows in the Pillow Shop store.

The Pillow Shop story

One of my fondest memories of childhood is spending the night at Aunt Mary’s home. I still recall the coal heat, hardwood floors, home cooking and especially the feather pillows. I’m sure a lot of you can remember the warmth and comfort passed down from a simpler generation.

These fond memories inspired me to develop the “Original Keepsake Feather Pillow”. By blending a mixture of #1 duck feathers, I have constructed a brand new feather pillow. These pillows have the look and feel of the ones we all remember. 100% duck feathers will last fifty years, if the pillows are cleaned and reticked annually.

This development grew out of a need to have my heirloom feather pillows cleaned. I opened “The Pillow Shop” in 2004 to provide a cleaning service for feather pillows. True feather pillows are NOT washable. Once feathers become wet, they never dry. Synthetic feathers, on the other hand, can be laundered. The cleaning process for feather pillows is done by ultra violet light. Grandma knew how to clean these feather pillows. She would hang them in the direct sunlight on the clothesline. The cleaning process deodorizes and kills the bacteria trapped in the pillow.

We offer a white flora satin ticking as well as the traditional blue and white striped ticking. This blue and white ticking brings back simpler times, comfort and wonderful memories of my Aunt Mary’s.
